Stress Relief Activities

In all of our lives, stress plays a big part. Being happy or sad depends how much you are stressed out. Doing some stress relief activities everyday will help you in dealing with stress a healthy way.

Meditation can help in many ways to relieve stress. It will give you a great peace of mind that will relax you and take stress away. You are able to bring focus on one thing and not concentrate on anything else. It has so many more benefits also. I recommend that you check out Deep Zen Audio Meditation.

Yoga is another one that will relieve stress. It is easy exercising with simple techniques. Exercising releases endorphins which is a hormone that makes you happy. It also gets your body in shape. If your cramped for time like most people, yoga only takes 30 minutes a day. I recommend that you check out Runners Yoga.

Stress Relief Activites

When I talk about stress relief activities you may think it has to be really complicated but it's not. Basically all it has to be is something that you enjoy doing enabling you to have fun. If you aren't having fun, how can it be reliving stress?

It is easy, simple and you can do it everyday. It could be just going for a walk enjoying yourself. It does not have to be anything complicated and it is not rocket science. It could also be playing a game like disc golf. I have recently discovered that disc golf is a lot of fun and it reliefs stress while giving you a little bit of exercise. It is challenging but it is not hard and anyone can do it.

Doing things that you love to do is a part of life. Taking time for yourself and doing something you love to do is the best stress relief activity. Trying new things that you may have fun doing is a good way to find the activity that is right for you if you don't have one.

Have fun and laugh a lot!

Meaning of Life

What does life mean to you? Sometimes we need to sit down and think to ourselves about the meaning of life. There are so many things that you can experience during life that it is incredible. Take a moment each day and just sit down and think what it means to you. Sometimes it seems like it is horrible but you have to remember how lucky you are. People die everyday and you are lucky that it is not you.

People with deadly diseases and cancer, you could have these and when you don't you are very lucky. Take a moment and think about what if this happened to you, how would you feel? Do something for one of those people in need and just watch the smile that you put on their face, you will feel good inside and you are helping out another person.

Sometimes, I think some of us take life for granted when we are blessed with it. Live life to the fullest because someday, you may not be able to live it to it's fullest. Try to enjoy it the best you can and help other people in need because its a good thing to do and sometime you may be in need of help.

Why do we live life and fight over the stupidest stuff? There is no need for that and it's getting farther away from peace. All it does is cause stress and sometimes people even die over it in wars. If only we could all just get along, that would be priceless.

Take a moment and think about what life means to you, life gives to you so you should give back by doing a good deed.

Live and Laugh

One of the things you need to do to live a healthy life is to live and laugh. You need to take time for yourself to do the things you love so you can enjoy life. For example, I like to go fishing so I try to make sure I have time for it so I can do something I enjoy therefore it makes me happy and relieves stress from events earlier that day. You must want to be happy to be happy. If you want to be mad and sad but your trying to be happy, you must let mad and sad go to change to happy. I'm not saying you can't be mad or sad just not all the time. Try to let it go. When your happy then your less likely to be stressed out. You must live life and have fun with it. Take time to explore different things so you can say that you have done them all. Sometimes we need a break to just sit and relax. If that's what you like to do then sit and relax more often. Try not to stress your self out so much. The more stressed out you are the more it seems like we get burned out. Being burned out is no fun because it feels like we have no energy. Stress is what drained the energy that you had. Sometimes just getting out of the house can bring joy to our lives. I would try to be happy rather then moping around all day. Camping can relieve stress also. Nothing really to worry about, just relaxing in the wilderness. Sitting around a campfire sharing stories and just talking and watching the flames. Just make sure you take time for yourself everyday, even if its just a half hour.

Peace of mind

Peace of mind is a wonderful feeling that we all should try to have frequently. This is where your at a state of mind where all your worries and stress ceases. It is calmness in the human mind. This is not rare at all, it can be experienced by doing something that you love and you forget about all your worries and stress.

This is important because it puts our mind at ease. When you are stressed out and are worrying about everything, getting in peace of mind can help. It can give your mind a break and calm you down so you can think clearly and come up with the answer.

Try to stay away from anything negative. Negative things can make it difficult to get into peace of mind regularly. Forgive and forget, this can cause a lot of stress and will give you a tough time to get into peace of mind, you will also have lack of sleep. Being jealous causes a lack of inner peace, don't be jealous. Don't concentrate on the past but concentrate on the present. You don't want that bad memory coming back to you.

Peace of mind is a good feeling, this is why we want to be at a good peace of mind. Having a good peace of mind will actually bring peace to the world and others around you. You will make a great difference. Once you realize how great this is, you will want to have a good peace of mind as much as you can.

Peace of mind is priceless

Relax

One of the best things a person can do is to relax. Relaxing can bring you to a place that you want to be. In our lives sometimes we don't get time to relax. It is important to relax. Relaxing is basically finding time for yourself and to do whatever you want. The reasons it is so important is because it relieves stress.

It gets us away from this high-paced world. It slows us down and gives us time to think. This is important because we have to realize that we have to have time for ourselves and not just for other people.

Relaxing can be anything that makes you feel good. Do something that you want to do. Something that is slower paced. It may be just doing nothing. Go fishing or just enjoy the outdoors. Sit down and look around you. Look at nature and all the colorful things around you. Go to a nice landscape and just sit there and enjoy the beauty of it.

Sometimes relaxing may do us good even for something we are working on. You may be relaxing and all of a sudden an idea pops in your head that you have been looking for it for a long time. Write it down and when you are down relaxing start to pursue it.

As I said before relaxing relieves stress. If you get so much stress built up inside and don't let it out through relaxing or some other stress relief, that is not healthy. You could even get so stressed out that it could kill you. That is why it is so important to find time for yourself to relax so you can relieve stress. Their is stress in pretty much anything we do.

Relaxing could also decrease the risk of getting certain diseases. For example, it decreases the risk of getting heart diseases because relaxing will make you less stressed out and stress is one of the causes of heart disease. It lowers your blood pressure and gets you in a good state of mind.

Relaxing makes life come to a whole different level. It will make you realize what life's all about and may even give you the answers you have been looking for. Sometimes a little thing you do each day can make a big difference. I know since I started to relax on a regular basis, basically having a time put away in my day to relax, has made me less stressed out.

Give yourself a break and find time to relax! It will be good for you!

Laughing is fun

One of the most spices of life is Laughter, and it's healthy for you. It is good to have a sense of humor, we all need to have a sense of humor. When you feel stressed out, try to have a good laugh, laughing reduces stress which will make you feel better. A good laugh can lower blood pressure, if a person laughs on a regular basis. When the laughing occurs, the blood pressure increases but when you are finished, it decreases below normal which will lower your blood pressure. It changes our bio-chemical state when you laugh. It decreases stress hormones and increases infection fight anti-bodies. A single laugh can do this, that's pretty cool.

It also protects the heart. A person that laughs a lot is less likely to have a heart attack then a person that does not really laugh. Laughter gives the body a good workout. It gives a good workout to the diaphragm, abdominal, respiratory, facial, leg, and back muscles. Hearty laughter can burn calories equivalent to a several minutes on the bike. When people laugh, it improves brain function. They are able to learn better and retain more information then they could if they did not laugh.

If your having a bad day sometimes all we need to do is laugh. Laughing will improve your mood and it will reduce the stress of your bad day. When you feel angry, laughing can help resolve this too. Humor actually enhances the ability to connect with others. This happens when we share a laugh with others and it brightens their day also. Laughing will bring us all together, it is a powerful force.

Smiling is the beginning part of laughter. You want to be by laughter as much as possible. When you hear someone saying a joke, go over by them and laugh with them about the joke. Then tell one of your own and just keep going back and forth. Laugh so hard that you fall on the ground. Laughing feels good and it will make you feel good. Lighten up and laugh a bit more. You will notice a difference and the stress will decrease. Sometimes we are too serious and we just need to get away from that and laugh. Go to a comedy club or get a joke book or watch something funny on TV. We all need some humor in our life and this will make us feel better, be more healthy and maybe even live longer.

Laugh long and Laugh often.

Pets have benefits

I always have loved animals. I love to play with animals, take them for walks or just play little games with them. The thing I never knew that it had health benefits of having a pet. When I first heard of that I was like what, so then I read into it more and it all made sense.

Pets can help reduce stress, they are always there waiting for us to get him. When we get home they are wagging their tails or running around, depends on what kind of pet it is. They are always happy to see you and you are always happy to see them. You spend time together just like you would another person. A lot of our pets are treated as other people. I know when I get home our dogs are always happy to see us, wagging their tails and they are excited. I pet them and that makes them happy. They do some of the craziest stuff that you laugh again and again. It helps reduce depression in the same ways.

People with hypertension that adopted a dog had lower blood pressure readings in stressful situations then people did not have a dog. Older people who have pets, generally have better physical health and mental health. People with pets make fewer doctor visits for non-serious medical conditions. In a 2002 survey conducted by the American Animal Hospital Association, 92 percent of the respondents indicated that they derive significant
health benefits from their pets. People with pets tend to have lower blood pressure.

Heart patients who own pets have a better chance of long term survival. Businesses that let pets into the work place, reduces stress on their employees and improves mental and physical health.

Pets help motivate for exercise. When you take a dog for a walk, it helps you as well as the dog. It makes the dog happy and makes you happy and gives both of you the exercise that you need. It helps you get out and get your exercise. Maybe some people need a reason to be out otherwise they don't want to exercise. A dog does this perfect, you have to take the dog for a walk so that gives you a good reason.

Pets make people happier when they are allow in hospitals and nursing homes. They give them companionship and someone to talk to when no one is around. They help the relieve stress and feel better. They could even live longer because of a pet. Pets even help people in prison, the Ohio State Corrections System, They match up their inmates with dogs for 10 weeks, the inmates then are to teach the dogs basic commands and house training them. They form close bonds with the pets, when it is time for them to say good-bye, it is really hard for the inmates. Even inmates with no heart, they can form a heart and learn to care and love.

I just found all this very interesting that pets can help relieve stress and have health benefits. I have had pets most of my life and yes, life seems less stressful when you have a pet. Pets are awesome and if you want a way to relieve stress, get a pet.

Meditating Takes you on a Vacation

Meditating is relaxing, taking the thinking mind into deeper state of relaxation and awareness. The goal of meditating is to focus the mind and quiet the mind. You should to to meditate once a day if you can. You can meditate at anytime and anywhere. This will put you in a better mood. Try not to meditate following a meal because you will become distracted with hunger. Try to find a quiet environment or create one. Turn off TVs, phones, or any other noisy appliances. Try lighting candles or maybe even playing that easy listening music you like. I like to listen to waterfalls and river sounds and that calms me down. I have this rainstorm CD I listen to from time to time and that is really relaxing for me. You can meditate outside but you want to find someplace quiet, not by a busy street or anything like that. I have never tried this but this is something I might, try putting some earplugs in to block out the noise of everything around you. Sit on level ground to keep your back straight, if you are uncomfortable, use a cushion. Keep your back straight will help with your breathing. You can meditate in a chair or any other position as long as your back is straight. Keep your eyes half way open and focus on nothing. If you can now do this, then you are going to want to close your eyes. Breath deeply from your abdomen not your chest. Inhale for a count of 3 and exhale for a count of 6. This is healthy breathing and it will lower your blood pressure and relieve stress. Relax every muscle in your body, don't be in a hurry, start with one muscle and work to the other until they are all relaxed and you feel good. To overcome verbal chatter, you are going to want to say a word such as "aum" , or you can even just do it in your mind, which ever you prefer. Take your mind to somewhere peaceful that relaxes you. Silence your mind, clearing your mind of any thoughts. This take great discipline but once achieved it should become easier. You may notice that you become calmer and sharper, it is easier to deal with things. This will come with time, it will not come right away. This is why you should set a time each day to meditate. It helps relieve stress and improves concentration. It can even lower health risks, it does not guarantee good health but it could lower the risks. It gives you happiness and a peace of mind. It may even help you discover the purpose of life. Why not give 15 minutes of your time to meditation, it may help you in such ways that are unexpected and in ways you cannot explain. It could give you happiness and peace of mind. Giving you a vacation away from this world that can be so stressful at times. Give it a try and see what meditation could do for you!

It even affects your mind and thoughts in ways such as anxiety, restlessness, worrying, irritability, depression, sadness, anger, mood swings, job dissatisfaction, feeling insecure, confusion, burnout, forgetfulness, resentment, guilt, inability to concentrate, seeing only the negatives and I'm sure their is more. Here are some effects on your behavior, overeating, under eating, angry outbursts, drug abuse, excessive drinking, increased smoking, social withdraw, crying spells, relationship conflicts, decreased productivity, blaming other and I'm sure their is many more. You want to take a deep breath if you are feeling stressed out. You want to communicate what is bothering you to a friend or may even your cat, let the stress built up out. Try to have some fun and tell some jokes, laughter is a really good stress reliever. Exercise is a good stress reliever, their is nothing like being in shape. Exercising releases endorphins which is a feel good hormone. Chocolate release endorphins also but only in small amounts, not like exercising. Being organized helps relieve stress because then you don't feel overwhelmed. Sometimes we think theirs to much to do and not enough time. Organizing will help this. Light a candle and just relax, close your eyes and image that you are in a stress-free place. Try meditating, this will help a lot, it relaxes the body it brings you in an environment that you want to me in. Sometimes all we need is just to stop what we are doing because the world moves at such a high pace that we need to rest and able to stop and think of good thoughts. You have to know that you have control over your own body and you make the choices. The ultimate choice is to be as far away from stress as you can!

Wonderful place relax.....

Sometimes I sit and think about how cool this would be. I went to Colorado once and we went threw the Rockies and the beauty was like you could never believe. I would love to live in the Rockies!!! They had wonderful steams where you could see the iron in them because they were a yellowish color because they were high in iron. I would have my house right by where you could look a crossed a whole bunch of stuff done below. I would have a stream running threw my yard so I could go there and just listen to the water flow and watch it. I would look at all the pretty flowers and all the wild animals. Some parts of the mountaintop would have snow and it would be so fresh. Even some of the towns are small and cool. I would love to go fishing in the streams and listen to nature behind me. It would be a place where you just forget all your thoughts and enjoy yourself. Somewhere to get away and to relieve stress that we all have. Sometimes you just need that little trip to make you feel better inside. You could even go hiking and camp over night. What you catch fishing, you could cook over a nice campfire. This would be a wonderful thing to do. To bad you could not just live like this and forget all the worries life has. Just close your eyes and imagine this and you will see what I mean. It just makes your mind go wild and you are relaxed in peace. Sometimes the world today just gets on your nerves and you need this to help you get past that. I really would like to go there again and go backpacking, that would be so awesome. I wish I could just go but as you know you have to save up and everything else. This would be a dream come true!!!!
