Gas Prices
Gas prices are getting very expensive these days. In Oshkosh, Wisconsin the price is $3.09 per gallon for regular gas. I'm sure it is more expensive in some places then others. It really hurts to go to the gas station and fill up because it costs so much. I remember when I could fill my car up for $15 dollars and now it costs me $40 dollars. Hopefully they will come down but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. It sounds more like they will be just getting higher and higher. What happens when people can't afford to put gas in anymore? What will we do? Hopefully if gas goes up then wages will have to go up. Here are a few tips that I thought of to save on gas. Try to car pool as much as you can and split the gas. Change your fuel filters on your vehicles. Also try doing a tune-up and get all your spark plugs and wires changed. Change the distributor cap and rotor if you have one. Change the PVC valve, this helps re burn the fuel and the PVC valve is really cheap and easy to put in. Put fuel system cleaner into your gas tank regularly. Try to use only quarter throttle when you apply pressure to the accelerator. Try to walk or ride a bike to as many places as you can. Cars with smaller engines like Geo Metros get really good fuel mileage. Some MotorCycles get great gas mileage also. Just try to limit yourself to the places you go or try to limit trips. I hope these tips help.
