So the Diet Continues

So it continues, I kind of hit a snag though. My wife and I went to go visit my wife's grandma, and it seems like she kept bring the food and we went out to eat. I only gained about 1 and a half pounds so that's good. I did not want to upset her by not trying the stuff. I am back on the routine of things and I am going to try some other things. A guy at work suggested for me to try protein shakes in the morning. He gave me one and I am going to try it tomorrow and to see if I like it. He also suggest for me to put a little bit of chicken in my salad for lunch, I usually just eat a salad but that isn't a bad idea as long as I don't over due the chicken. Everything seems to be working as planned otherwise. I will also make sure that I am eating everything fresh. I also take fish oil and vitamins. Why did I decide to diet and exercise? I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle and I want to decrease the risk of Diabetes, Heart Disease, Stroke, and anything else that is unhealthy. I want to get my weight between 160 and 150. I weigh 184 currently and I will keep going until I reach my goal. Diabetes runs in my family because most of the people in my family have it. I used to drink a lot of soda and then on July 3 I quit and haven't had one since. It is really awesome getting on the scale and seeing that you have lost a whole bunch of weight towards your goal. I started to feel drained a lot and I started doing this and I feel like I have lots of energy. You need to burn 3500 more calories then you take in to lose one pound. And it goes on!
