One of the most spices of life is Laughter, and it's healthy for you. It is good to have a sense of humor, we all need to have a sense of humor. When you feel stressed out, try to have a good laugh, laughing reduces stress which will make you feel better. A good laugh can lower blood pressure, if a person laughs on a regular basis. When the laughing occurs, the blood pressure increases but when you are finished, it decreases below normal which will lower your blood pressure. It changes our bio-chemical state when you laugh. It decreases stress hormones and increases infection fight anti-bodies. A single laugh can do this, that's pretty cool.
It also protects the heart. A person that laughs a lot is less likely to have a heart attack then a person that does not really laugh. Laughter gives the body a good workout. It gives a good workout to the diaphragm, abdominal, respiratory, facial, leg, and back muscles. Hearty laughter can burn calories equivalent to a several minutes on the bike. When people laugh, it improves brain function. They are able to learn better and retain more information then they could if they did not laugh.
If your having a bad day sometimes all we need to do is laugh. Laughing will improve your mood and it will reduce the stress of your bad day. When you feel angry, laughing can help resolve this too. Humor actually enhances the ability to connect with others. This happens when we share a laugh with others and it brightens their day also. Laughing will bring us all together, it is a powerful force.
Smiling is the beginning part of laughter. You want to be by laughter as much as possible. When you hear someone saying a joke, go over by them and laugh with them about the joke. Then tell one of your own and just keep going back and forth. Laugh so hard that you fall on the ground. Laughing feels good and it will make you feel good. Lighten up and laugh a bit more. You will notice a difference and the stress will decrease. Sometimes we are too serious and we just need to get away from that and laugh. Go to a comedy club or get a joke book or watch something funny on TV. We all need some humor in our life and this will make us feel better, be more healthy and maybe even live longer.
Laugh long and Laugh often.
