Health Tips for Teens

Here are some Health Tips for Teens that will help you.

First of all, you want to stay active, for example going for walks after school. This will help burn the calories that you need to burn plus exercising relieves stress. Doing something you enjoy that is active could also count. By this I mean playing tennis or football or whatever sport you like to do. If you enjoy exercising in general, that's awesome.

Please don't light up, by this I mean smoking. When I look around me, it seems I see that a lot of people are smoking. This is bad for you health extremely. It can cause heart diease, lung cancer, and all sorts of diseases and cancers. I say this now because I have noticed that a lot of people start smoking in their teen years. We need to stop this, once we stop even starting up hopefully a lot more people won't smoke. It doesn't just endanger your health, it also endangers other peoples by 2nd smoke. 2nd hand smoke is acually worse, you don't want to be the one killing someone because they have experienced to much 2nd hand smoke. If your having trouble quiting smoking and you want help, their are programs like Quit Smoking Today that will help you with your goal of quitting smoking.

It is also important to eat and diet right. By this I mean that you must eat from each food group and balance it out. It is better to eat 3 smaller meals then one big one. You want to portion yourself out. You want to eat enough but not to much. Eat your veggies, they are good for you. Veggies have all kinds of health benefits, from lowering the risk of heart disease to a bunch of other health benefits. Try to eat your meals at the same time everyday and try not to eat anything before bedtime. Try to limit the amount of soda that you take in because it has so much sugar and will add a lot of unneeded weight to yourself. I quit soda on July 3rd, 2008 and it is Jan 27th, 2009 today so I have stopped for almost 7 months. The other day I wanted to try something to see if I still liked it and I drank a little bit of soda just to see, and I really don't like it anymore. Drinking soda is unhealthy anyways.

If you change your lifestyle now when it is early in your teen years, then you will be all set for life. Eating good and proper exercise will keep you healthy and you could live longer. Life is so precious so by staying healthy you will be able to enjoy more of life. Do the things you love, like fishing for an example, and it will improve the quality of life and will relieve a lot of stress. Playing video games is OK for a little while but don't spend your whole life on their. If you going to play video games, I recommend getting a Nintendo Wii because it is the most active video games sytem out there. They have things for the Wii like Unlimited Wii Downloads where you can download games, movies, TV shows, music and much more for the Wii!
